Mea Andrews

Imagined Rebellion

I pocket spiders to turn guard dog, hinge small
jumpers on my hips to ambush mosquitos O
negative high, hive creators, plunderers of flesh.

Arachnid weaponize my internet connection;
troops black widows and tarantulas, their reward
grasshoppers I feed fat on flowers, femoral
artery watered.

Spring load them onto my phone, spam filter
insta-replies. Miniaturize ten, one for each
of my toes, kick into colleagues’ mouths too

wide. Send as student debt cease-and-desist
notices, ceiling web Sally Mae somewhere,
slowly suck her dry.
